Done with black multiliner (0,05), watercolors, rhinestone (for the earring [link] and satin ribbons.
Time spent: I spent two days doing the lineart and painting the cover and an afternoon painting the spine and back-cover.
Size: an A4 plus the spine.

Edit: O_O O...M...F...G!!! I just woke up and came to see wassup on dA and I read a message saying "Congrats for the DD!" and I was like :iconspittingcerealguyplz: "WHAT?!"
I just found out about my first DD! I... I can't believe it! OMG! THANK YOU!! Thank you soooo much!

I love the design of the hair, how it goes in and out of braids, and the composition is WONDERFUL - I love how it continues onto the back cover. If I saw that on a book I would pick it up immediately.
